    Between July to October, majestic humpback whales breach and frolic with their calves, just beyond the outer reef, a spectacle which you can watch from your balcony if you are lucky.

  • Trekking up Hospital Hill

    Join the locals on a daily walk or jog up the Hospital Hill, enjoy the brisk fresh air and  picturesque views of the mountain and ocean. Suitable for all ages and challenging enough for a good fitness workout.

    The trek follows Ara Metua Road up the Sanatorium Road to Rarotonga Hospital. You can hike beyond this point via a walking trail that leads to the top of the hill to panoramic views of the ocean and mountains. A popular destination for safari tours and visitors looking for scenic lookouts.
